Welcome to LLAKTA (pronounced Yak-ta)! LLAKTA in our native tongue Kichwa means HOMELAND. We are a small indigenous family-owned business located in the Twin Cities. For over 20 years, LLAKTA has offered products for every occasion and for every budget. We offer a wide variety of imported products from the Americas; including Mexico, Guatemala, Peru, Ecuador, and more. Our goal is to create a space where everyone feels respected, valued, and at home.

Our Beginning
We dreamed of sharing the beauty and uniqueness of South American and Native American goods with the world. We were inspired by the artistry and craftsmanship of the products we had admired and were determined to find a way to import and sell them in the United States. This dream began with a humble table of shirts and accessories at Mercado Centrale in Minneapolis, where we introduced locals to vibrant and colorful textiles. From there, his business grew and expanded, as more and more people came to appreciate the beauty and cultural significance of our products.

We are proud to announce that our business has expanded and we are now located in Mall of America. Our growth has been a testament to our commitment to bringing the unique beauty of South American and Native American goods to a wider audience. We have also expanded our product line to include even more exquisite pieces that showcase the rich cultural heritage of our artisans. We are grateful for the continued support of our clients and customers, who have been instrumental in helping us achieve our goals.
